Background
I'm studying a Master of Cyber Security at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, which I started in Semester 2, 2026 on a scholarship, and working as a Logistics Administrator alongside it. The course finishes with an industry placement.
My technical background is in software testing — a QA Engineering bootcamp at TripleTen, plus freelance testing projects through uTest. It's a useful foundation for security work: reading specifications carefully, breaking things deliberately, and documenting exactly what I find.
Right now I'm working through Linux and networking fundamentals on TryHackMe, threat hunting with KQL on KC7, and CTF challenges on CyLab/picoCTF, with a Kali Linux home lab to practise on.
It all goes into a public learning log — a live record of how I'm getting there. I'm aiming for a security analyst or security engineering role after I graduate.
Tooling
Work
Python-based automated API testing project. Covers authentication handling, structured test scripts, and validation of positive and negative API scenarios.
End-to-end automated testing of a taxi booking web app. Implemented Page Object Model (POM) and validated complete booking flows and UI behaviour.
Manual API and backend testing for an online grocery service. Validated functionality against documented requirements using structured test cases and bug reports.
Mobile testing for a food ordering app on Android Studio. Validated ordering flows, geolocation permissions, and error message handling.
